She said yes.
Josh and Jina: Joshina or Jinashua. It’s going to happen in the near future-God willing. This was a crazy event of prepping, planning and re-planning. From Plan A to Plan B and a last minute possibility of a Plan C, we all worked together to get this event together and get that ring on her finga!
We gathered around 7:30pm to get Ivan’s backyard ready by 815pm-ish. The gang did a great job putting posters together, scattering rose petals and luminary candles.
When you end up watching a group come together around two special individuals..even candid photos like this look beautiful and meaningful. Sound check 1-2. 1-2.
We hung out in the side entrance for quite some time. Poor Ivan was on watchman duty and missed out on our group pic. (But he looks like he’s on a timeout)
So in between waiting we found out that an argument arose. We waited patiently and watched for Josh to drive up the driveway. When he finally did, it was SUPER quiet. What was about 3-4 minutes felt like ETERNITY. I swore I saw them get out of the car and walk up to the door but once they entered the house, they were off our radars.
(Start at around 0:25)
“Did she walk back into the car?”
“You sure you saw them go into the house?”
“Maybe she’s using the bathroom.” (kekekeke..shh shhhh~~no pun intended)
Finally we heard the patio door open and we heard her. It has begun.
I met Jina at Pathway’s Fall Retreat 2012. She walked up to me with a brown rice spam musubi and the rest…is history. In 2013, we began discipleship with Fenny and God and grown our hearts and our family of faith with sisters to celebrate. Not to mention Gina’s engagement too. My heart is full.
Felt so bad. They stood like that for about 30 seconds and nobody stepped up to take their photo. We were chit chatting and having so much fun. Thank you brothers for being so patient!
Super happy for these two. What a journey it has been and it’s just the beginning!
